Triple C Ranch

Knick-Neighs was born from a place of shear frustration, a place of sincere desire to make a difference on this crazy blue marble we call home. My name is Patsy, and I am the owner, author, designer and artist of Knick-Neighs. As a registered nurse, I have seen too much sorrow, sickness and despair. I have a background in emergency medicine, hospice and a short stint in children’s pych. Basically, I got really sad and depressed at all the stuff I’d seen and witnessed AND I got angry at the state of things. We need LOVE, LIGHT AND BEAUTY in our lives. We need God’s love in our hearts, faith in his word and a spirit of fearless determination to lead purpose filled beautiful lives .

I decided to combine my passion for writing, art ,design, love for others (particularly our children) and horses and came up with the zany , eclectic entity I called Knick-Neighs.

However, Knick-Neigh charms are just the tip of the ice-burg, because behind every charm there lies a story.

I’m excited to announce a new book series geared for middle grade and young adult youth who have had less than desirable beginnings in life . A gritty , real-life series that isn’t afraid to tackle difficult subjects and is relatable for children from abusive , neglectful homes or no home at all.

I had perused my local bookstores for encouraging, uplifting, Christian literature for children, ages 13-18, and come up with nothing but sugar-coated platitudes that were completely unrelatable to children from broken homes. How could I present a devotional to a child with a history of being trafficked by their parents with a book speaking of God’s love being like their earthly father’s love . Really? If I were that child I would run as far from that book as possible. Such books have their place and are certainly well meaning but we need to do better, to be more real with these kids and ourselves as to what they have faced. Many such children have faced more adversity in their short lives then we will see in a lifetime.

Hence, the birth of TRIPLE C RANCH. A place where the wild untamed spirit of the American Mustang is used to heal the broken heart of a child. Stay tuned for the release of the first book in my series at Triple C Ranch “Malika Meets Lil’Miss Sunshine” A portion of the sale proceeds from each Knick-Neigh charm sold will be donated to the following non -profit and will aid in the publishing/printing of the series which can hopefully make it into the hands of a child that needs hope.( With the ultimate goal of psych facilities, counselors ,social workers, teachers, foster parents and anyone working with these precious souls being able to use this series as an encouraging, uplifting teaching tool and a way to reach the lost and broken) :
